Paul Mandla Nkosi; BDS (MEDUNSA) (1996), Dip Odont (Pret)(2002), MchD (Western Cape) (2008) 


Dr Nkosi was born on farm between Ermelo and Amersfort and spent the first 10 years of his life there. In 1975 His family moved 200km north to Dennilton (near Groblersdal) where he started school at Phooko Primary school in 1976. He went on to St Josef’s Secondary school in 1983 and matriculated there in 1987. After matric, he went to the then Medical University of Southern Africa (MEDUNSA) to study Radiography in 1988. He later changed to dentistry and qualified as a dentist in June 1996.

After qualifying as a dentist, Dr Nkosi went back to Dennilton to work at Philadelphia Hospital as a dentist from July 1996 to February 1997. He started a private general dental practice in Ackerville (Witbank) from March 1997 to March 2004 and during that time he completed a postgraduate diploma in dentistry (DipOdont) from the University of Pretoria in 2002 and a short course in managing employment process with the University of South Africa in 2003. Having decided to make a career change, Dr Nkosi was accepted into the postgraduate program at University of the Western Cape in April 2004, where he earned his masters degree (MchD) in Orthodontics in 2008 and continues practising as such today.
